Course Objectives

At the end if the course the student should be able:

1. Understand the basic concepts and definitions relating to low-level programming.
2. Differentiate high-level programming from the low-level programming.
3. Understand the basic hardware concepts necessary for understanding computer operation using SAP-1 and SAP-2 micro-controller.
4. Learn and understand the role of various instruction registers.
5. Understand the function and importance of flags when computer run using SAP-2 and SAP-3.
6. Understand the function and use the instruction set to achieve efficient programming.
7. Apply the concept of addressing mode.
8. Learn how to program PIO (peripheral input/output) pin configuration.
9. understand the function and use of interrupts commands.
10. Learn interfacing techniques using Z-8O and PIC micro-controller.
11. Learn the use of ZDS and PIC software.
12. Learn to write, run and debug low-level program using SAP 1, SA and SAP 2, SAP 3 and Microcontroller.
13. Apply programming knowledge in automating their project design.
